Quinn had a great day! They went out to a local park and walked around, enjoying the sights. She continues to be just a dream. Johnny and Quinn are forming such a great bond right now. It so sweet to see!

Her first McDonald's experience!

Jiangxi Province is known for their porcelain. We wanted Quinn to have something that would represent the place she was born. We thought a little porcelain tea set would be the perfect thing. Johnny said that Coby took him to the most beautiful shop he has ever seen. He said it was just a little hole in the wall, but when you were inside, there were the most beautiful pieces of porcelain that were displayed on lighted shelves. The shop owner took him down a hallway where there was dozens of selections. He selected a tea set that was painted by hand, using only the fingers as a paint brush.

After their day in the park, they came back to the hotel and walked around the lobby. Quinn decided that she would stand on the coffee table and jump off into Johnny's arms. He said that she would do this over and over again, laughing hysterically. He tried to get her to stop, but she would climb on the table and start to fall, knowing that he would catch her. How amazing that she is already trusting him that much! After a while, she was laughing so loudly that people started gathering around to watch. That was the end of things for Johnny...he couldn't stand the attention. :)
She is not a big fan of baths still, but now when he bathes her, she cries "Baba" instead of "Ayi". Progress! We'll take it!

look at her all wrapped around Daddy! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI just love reading all about Quinn!!! She is too cute! Pretty soon mama, you will have her in your arms!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is day 3? And she is already quite comfortable with her new daddy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Nikki! She is just adorable and seems to be adjusting well. I am sorry that you've been sick and couldn't go. That has to be rough...but thank goodness for Skype! These photos are bringing back memories of our trip. The People's Park was one of our favorites and we have a picture from that same curved bridge that we have hanging in our bedroom. I hope the rest of the trip goes smoothly!
