Summer Fun

We had a great time in Chicago, visiting my new, baby niece! It was so nice to see my sister and her family. I miss my sister....all the time. Oh how I wish we lived closer!

Here are some pictures from the week:

Waiting for the train. Austin, Cousin Will and Cousin Andrew.

At the Shedd Aquarium. Now THIS is double trouble!!! Ava and Andrew.

Can you tell that all my kids have VERY sensitive eyes? (All blue or green)

PURE yumminess! Baby Sophia with Jack and Ava.

At the horse races! Jack picked 2 winning horses.
It's all about the LEGOS in our house. Here they are at Lego Discovery, competing in a contest. That was Ava's "dinosaur". Needless to say, she didn't win.
MORE LEGOS!
Jack got the Home Run ball at the Flyer's Baseball game. He took the ball to get signed at the end of the game (by the guy who hit the home run).......
......and ended up getting this guys practice bat in return for the ball (and 3 more baseballs). It was this guys FIRST professional home run! Jack was beyond excited!

Down by my sister's pond....great for fishing and catching enormous bull frogs.

So, it's back to the real world! Lots to do before school starts and we leave for China. We are hoping for our TA sometime at the end of next week. It's getting so real now! Several of my good friends are going soon. I'll post their blogs soon. It will be fun to follow their journey.

  1. We are seriously into Legos too. My dining room table has been a lego table all summer! Can't wait to hear that you have TA!
